Obituary for Winslow John Roberts
Services for Winslow John Roberts, 86, of Chandler are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Ed Stover officiating, under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Roberts passed away September 15, 2019 at home in Chandler with his family by his side.
He was born July 30, 1933 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Winslow Kennedy and Edith Cottrell Roberts.
Winslow married the love of his life Gwen Costelow. They spent the next 65 years together living in Texas, Kentucky, California and Utah. He loved to travel, especially with his kids and grandkids, and loved family get togethers. He worked in human resources for several oil and gas companies, one of which he did the hiring for the Alaska pipeline. In 2006 he retired and moved to Chandler.
Winslow was an active member of the Church of Christ in Los Angeles, California, Salt Lake City, Utah, Houston, Texas, Boyd County, Kentucky and most recently in Chandler.
He is survived his wife, Gwen; sons, Winslow Kenneth and wife Peggy, Randall Dean and wife Kristi; daughter, Sherry Lynne Eddy; grandchildren, Michelle Roberts Maraquin and husband Omar, Brittney Roberts Cox and husband Lane, David Bruce Eddy and wife Chelsea, Eric Kennedy and fiancé Latoyia Thomas and Gabrielle Roberts; great grandchildren, Ana Claire Maraquin, Isabella Ann Maraquin, Layla Eddy, Cadence Eddy and Kanye Thomas; brothers, Gary Roberts and wife Shirley and Loy Roberts and wife Kay; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Roberts, Loy Roberts, Randy Roberts, Ken Roberts, Bruce Eddy and Eric Eddy.
Visitation will be Friday, September 20, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
