Obituary for Willa "Billie" Reneau

Funeral services for Willa Reneau, 87, of Chandler, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2022, at West Lake Baptist Church with Bro. Lee Evans officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reneau passed away peacefully on April 28, 2022, in Chandler, surrounded by her loved ones.

Willa Jean (Mikesell) Reneau was born August 30, 1934, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Joseph and Vivian (Woody) Mikesell. She was a member of West Lake Baptist Church, where she was active in many areas, including the Agape Class, the Celebration Choir, the hospitality and greeter teams, Mission West Lake, the Nursing Home Ministry, the Senior Adult Ministries, and The Singing Saints. Her passion in life was volunteering with the West Lake Baptist Church Food Bank, the West Lake Baptist Church Clothes Closet, and the local SPCA. Mrs. Reneau enjoyed quilting, fishing, and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married to J.A. Reneau, the love of her life, for almost 68 years (April 29). Mrs. Reneau was a remarkable wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five of eight siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, J.A. Reneau; her children, David Reneau, Bobby Reneau and wife Patrice, Cheryl Thompson and husband Mike, Vickie Loose and husband Brian, Mike Reneau and wife Leisha; sister, Helen Kirkpatrick and husband Ray; brother, Jack Mikesell and wife Wynell; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

On Sunday, May 1, 2022, a visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Lake Baptist Church Food Bank or Clothes Closet, or the local SPCA.
