Mr. McLean passed away on April 3, 2022, in Chandler.

Thomas Thelmon McLean was born April 8, 1943, in Brownsboro, the son of Elmer Ellis “Boots” McLean and Opal Fay (Geddie) McLean. He graduated from Brownsboro High School in 1961 and attended Henderson County Junior College. Thomas served in the United States Army and was a long-time member of the VFW #7103 in Athens and Calvary Baptist Church. He worked hard his entire life as a heavy equipment operator for Lang and Mitchell, a truck driver, a welder, a mechanic, and even spent time in the timber and oil industries. As a young man, he could be found playing 42 with friends and, in later years, making wear marks on his dining room table playing solitaire. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, or working in his yard- something he took great pride in. Thomas was a Dallas Cowboy and Dallas Maverick fan and a passionate viewer of March Madness. He loved family gatherings, from fish fries to bonfires. Thomas was friendly, had a great sense of humor, and was always willing to help anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Teressa Hendrix.
