Obituary for Terry K. Terrell
Graveside services for Terry Terrell, 78, of Chandler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Rock Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Terrell passed away on January 10, 2023, in Chandler.
Terry K. Terrell was born on February 10, 1944, in Athens, Texas, the son of Steve Tony Terrell and Lavern Burguss (Wyatt) Terrell. He spent over 35 years training bird dogs, assisting with Retriever Field Trials, and working as a hunting guide. Terry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a big heart for those closest to him, and although he might not have said it, his family and friends always knew his love and commitment to them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jerry Terrell and Tony Terrell; his sisters, Jorene Cyr and June Grabowski; and his daughter, Jennifer.
Survivors include his wife, Gay Terrell of Chandler; stepchildren, Keith Patterson and wife Stephanie of Maryville, Missouri, Tina Pike and husband Brad of Overton; sisters, Jeanette Collard of Chandler, Peggy Marks and husband Vince of Chandler, Cokie Watson and husband Jerry of Cat Spring; step-grandchildren, Shawn Pike and wife Lili, Sarah Williamson and husband Brandon; step-great-grandchildren, Jackson Pike, Nathan Williamson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rock Hill Cemetery, C/O Ronnie Lawrence, 10276 CR 3405, Brownsboro, Texas 75756, or to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Terry’s hospice nurse, Lesley Bates, for her loving care.
