Obituary for Sarah Ethel Stilley (Cox)

Funeral services for Sarah (Cox) Bullard Stilley, 72, of Chandler, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Carlton Cemetery in Calhoun, Louisiana, where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.

Mrs. Stilley passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of December 6, 2022, in Chandler.

Sarah Ethel (Cox) Bullard Stilley was born on February 23, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Hilton Cox and Mary Ethel (Emory) Cox. She was a longtime member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Tyler, Texas. Sarah and her husband, Neal, resided on Lake Palestine in Chandler, Texas. She worked many years as a psychologist at Rusk State Hospital and Skyview Hospital in Rusk, Texas. Sarah was known to have a huge heart and as a helper to anyone in need. Her close family and many friends will greatly miss her.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton and Mary Cox.

Sarah was the centerpiece of a loving surviving family made up of her husband, Neal Stilley; her sons, Matthew Bullard and husband Michael Grey, Benjamin Bullard, and foster son, Nicholas McHugh; and a loving family member and father to her children, Billy Bullard and husband, Gary Bramlett.
