Obituary for Ruth Huckabee Mallard (Huckabee)
Ruth Mallard, 86, of Chandler, passed away January 16, 2022, in Tyler.
Ruth (Huckabee) Mallard was born March 12, 1935, in Bonham, the daughter of Henry T. Huckabee and Thelma Mae (Whisnand) Ray. She spent most of her life in Lubbock as a homemaker and during her free time, enjoyed cooking and sewing. Ruth will be remembered as a kind woman who always put family first.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Mallard; children, Zona Fulton, Ronnie Frazier; grandson, Logan Mulder; two brothers and three sisters. On the day of her passing she also lost a son, Floyd Kirkland.
Survivors include children, Patricia Simmons of Chandler, Gordan Kirkland of Chandler; siblings, Janet, Mary and Elizabeth; four granddaughters, 12 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
