Obituary for Ronnie Jack Smiley
Funeral services for Ronnie Smiley, 73, of Chandler will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Joshua Smiley officiating. Interment will follow at Blackjack Cemetery.
Mr. Smiley passed away on February 24, 2020 in Chandler.
Ronnie Jack Smiley was born January 15, 1947 in Athens, Texas the son of Joe Bailey Smiley and Donnie May Hood. He was a member and the official greeter of Martin Springs Baptist Church. He worked for Goodyear Tire Company for many years. Ronnie was a wonderful neighbor, a very giving and generous person and he will be missed by all those he knew and loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jerry, Joe and Rudy Smiley.
Survivors include his loving wife Ruth Smiley of Chandler; three children, Ronijean Gilley and husband James of Biloxi, Mississippi, Joshua Smiley and wife Stacy of Chandler, John Smiley and wife Kayla of Bullard; four siblings, Margaret Bostick of Athens, Joffery Smiley and wife Laura of Tyler, Shirley Culpepper of Irving, Jim Smiley and wife Sue of Tyler; eight grandchildren, Amber Marshall, Terry Marshall, Lelane Gilley, Luke Smiley, Tenley Smiley, Michael Wedgeworth, Stephen Williams, Marissa Williams and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sid Miller, Ron Shank, Curtis Durham, Leland Tackett, Roy Couch and Kenneth Lookabaugh.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
