Obituary for Opal Oleta Barron (Wyatt)
Funeral Services for Opal Wyatt Barron of Chandler are scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with The Revs. Lee Evans and Bob Sexton officiating.
Opal Wyatt Barron, a Good and Faithful Servant born July 13, 1926, departed to Heaven on Friday, May 24, 2019 with Cheryl and Amber by her side.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charlie Barron, parents, Edna and Preston Wyatt, daughter, Carrol Barron and great granddaughter, Sarah Cason.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Cason, Cindy Lawrence and Cone Barron; four grandchildren, Shanna Cason House, Amber Lawrence, Daniel Lawrence and Joshua Cason; nine great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She was a member of Westlake Baptist Church for over 40 years and active in several choirs. She and Charlie were involved in Texas Baptist Men, “building for the glory of God”, completing over 24 jobs. Opal loved singing, camping (especially with the Boyd’s and Hunters), sewing and teaching lessons to the Homebound Ministries
Her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren camping, fishing, hiking, and collecting rocks.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
