Obituary for Nelda Fay Dunaway (Wimbish)
Graveside services for Nelda Dunaway, 90, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Edom Cemetery with Bro. Danny Bristow officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dunaway passed away on November 8, 2022, in Brownsboro.
Nelda Fay (Wimbish) Dunaway was born on July 18, 1932, in Mart, Texas, the daughter of Rufus Grady Wimbish and Evelyn Inez (Robison) Wimbish. She graduated from Tyler High School in 1949, worked for Texas Instruments for two years, Well Made in Dallas for ten years, and served as a C.N.A. for the Kelly Family for ten years. Nelda enjoyed reading gardening books, quilting, and cooking. She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Ward; husband, Dale Dunaway; siblings, Lawson Wimbish, Neta Matheson, Linda York; and grandson, Jarred Allen.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Parham of Brownsboro, Eddie Ward and wife June of Waco, Lisa Weller and husband Ed of Brownsboro; brother, Doyle Wimbish of Brownsboro; grandchildren, Chris Parham and wife Vivien, Kacie Spencer and husband Kyle, Brandon Arnold and wife Crystal, Jesse Ward, Jessica Goode, Christina Wilson and husband John; 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Squirt.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
