Obituary for Michael Edward Harrington

Funeral services for Michael Harrington, 68, of Tyler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, 2021 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Lon Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Dean Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Harrington passed away May 9, 2021 in Tyler.

Michael Edward Harrington was born September 3, 1952 in Brainerd, Minnesota, the son of Clarence Harrington and Katherine (Long) Harrington. He was a member of The Woods Baptist Church of Tyler where he served as a Deacon. Michael spent a career in printing, having previously worked with Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, Back to the Bible Broadcast in Lincoln, Nebraska, UT Health Center at Tyler and most recently at Green Acres Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing and will be remembered as a gentle man of deep faith who was hardworking and loyal to all he knew and loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Susan.

Survivors include wife of 48 years, Grace Harrington of Tyler; children, Jason Harrington of Bullard, Angela Eisenbach and husband Sandy of Manchester, New Hampshire, Sarah Binder and husband Jared of Ennis, Joy Monico of Tyler, Neal Harrington and wife Racheal of Tyler, Justin Harrington of Tyler; siblings, Donna Strom-Kirkpatrick of Minnesota, Larry Harrington of Pine River, Minnesota, Clarence Harrington, Jr. of Milaca, Minnesota; grandchildren, Ethan Binder, Gideon Binder, Jack Binder, Felix Binder, Helena Binder, Adele Binder, Julian Monico, Josiah Monico and one on the way.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Harrington, Neal Harrington, Justin Harrington, Ethan Binder, Gideon Binder and Jack Binder.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 from 1-2:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s honor to an organization very close to his heart- Faith Comes by Hearing 2421 Aztec Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
