Obituary for Yolanda Evilsizer

Funeral services for Yolanda Evilsizer, 82, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the First Methodist Church of Chandler, with Rev. Bryan Harkness officiating. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Evilsizer passed away on January 12, 2023, in Tyler.

Lillie Yolanda Evilsizer was born on August 5, 1940, in Athens, Texas, the daughter of Myrtice Ardell (Waller) Stevens and David Allen Compton. She graduated high school in Hawaii and worked as a payroll clerk for over 30 years. Yolanda was a member of the First Methodist Church of Chandler and sang in the choir. During her free time, she enjoyed traveling, drag racing, and doing word search puzzles. She was outgoing, spunky, and never met a stranger. Yolanda will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Evilsizer, Sr.

Survivors include her children, Donny Evilsizer and wife Robbie of Burleson, LaDonna Thornton and husband Jim of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, Richard Evilsizer and wife Jennifer of Brownsboro; siblings, Barbara Compton of Dayton, Ohio, Richard Stevens and wife Marsh of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Mallory Dunaway and husband Ian, Madison Evilsizer, Justin Thornton and wife Alma, Jimmy Thornton and wife Robie, Cody Gilcrease, Clayton Gilcrease, Chase Evilsizer, and eight great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
