Obituary

Funeral services for Leroy Elmore, 86, of Brownsboro will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home in Chandler with Bro. Lloyd Uzzell officiating. Interment will follow at Ash Cemetery.
Mr. Elmore passed away on October 13, 2019 in Tyler, Texas.
Leroy Elmore was born June 4,1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the son of James Franklin Elmore and Ruby Maggie Matthews. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Korean War veteran. He enjoyed buying, selling, fishing and hunting. Leroy was a devoted husband and father. He visited his wife in the nursing home every day as long as he was able, and he always made sure he told everyone how much he loved her. He will be missed by all he knew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelyn Gregory and two brothers, Sylvester Oliver Elmore and Bert John Allen Elmore.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cotten Elmore; children, David Ray Owen and wife Lucy Kay of Chandler, Ronald “Ronny” Lee Elmore, Sr. of Brownsboro, Tony Criss Elmore and wife Kathy of O’Fallon, MO; brother, Jimmy Elmore of Heath; two sisters, Virginia Johnson of North Richland Hills, Brenda Kelsey of Grand Prairie; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Scott, Josh, Ron Jr., Jon, Robert, Allison, Matthew, Amanda and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home Family.
