Obituary for Kathy Lynn Losekamp (Munns)

Funeral services for Kathy Losekamp, 73, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at First Assembly of God in Brownsboro with Rev. Terry Nesmith officiating. Interment will follow at Echols Cemetery on Jennings Mountain under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Losekamp passed away on March 5, 2022, in Brownsboro.

Kathy Lynn (Munns) Losekamp was born February 15, 1949, in San Jose, California, the daughter of Denver Eugene Munns and Oletha (Fields) Munns Griffin. She graduated from high school in 1969, obtained her nursing assistant license in 1978, and her dental assistant and phlebotomy license in 2005. Kathy worked for Stewart Blood Center in Tyler, retiring in 2007. She was a talented crafter and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Denver Munns and son, Kenny Wayne Smith, Jr.

Survivors include husband of 15 years, Richard Losekamp of Brownsboro; mother, Oletha Munns Griffin of Brownsboro; children, Troy Smith and wife Tammy of Brownsboro, Shelly Smith and husband Dwayne Roe of Brownsboro; step-children, Michelle Billadarello and husband Nick of Dallas, Jennifer Redford and husband Mike of Wentzville, Missouri, Eric Griffin and wife Lucy of Richland Hills; brother, Mike Munns and wife Debbie of Valley Springs, California; grandchildren, Shawn Tedford and wife Katy, Hailey Tedford and fiancé Kailee Gorsuch, Robin Smith Ellis, Chase Smith, Bryant Smith, Krystal Brockamp, Travis Smith and eight great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Munns, Dwayne Roe, Troy Smith, Tommy Howard, Eric Griffin, and Joey Howard.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 1-2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Brownsboro prior to the service.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the wonderful help and care given by Hospice of East Texas.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
