Obituary for Juanita M. Teague

A Celebration of the Life of Juanita Teague will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home of Chandler, with Andy Baker and John Baker officiating. Private burial took place at Chandler Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Juanita was born September 10, 1926 in Chandler the daughter of William Henry and Jimmie Eunice Martin McKinney. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Her 92 years were fully invested in working to positively touch the lives of others—family, neighbors, co-workers, Christian brothers and sisters across the nine states she lived in. Juanita was a faithful helpmeet to her husband John. She packed up and moved with him countless times, as he worked in the oil field. She made many homes from a Blackfoot Indian reservation in Montana to a flood damaged house in Mississippi. She was a loving mother and her grandchildren; great grandchildren and their families were her solace and pride.

Juanita, as a faithful member, blessed numerous congregations of the Church of Christ, and was blessed by their members.

The one voice she longed to hear was the one recounted in Matthew 25:21 “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Teague in 2015, and her son, Jim Teague.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Teague Baker of Chandler; one brother Carl Ray McKinney of Chandler; one sister, Reba Hopson and husband Milton of Tyler; grandsons, John Baker and wife Angie of Katy, Andy Baker and wife Kathryn of Rosenberg, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mission Printing, 2707 Midlin Drive, Arlington, 76015 or Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, 75701.
