Obituary for Joyce Uhyrek Clapp
Joyce (Uhyrek) Clapp was born June 17, 1938 in Bellville, Texas, the daughter of Charlie C. Uhyrek and Mary (Gorka) Uhyrek. She raised seven children while working full time in the food industry and was a talented artist with many oil paintings and drawings. She also loved cooking and doing puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Jerry Uhyrek; children, Claudia LaRoche, Charles Lee LaRoche II, Patrick Eugene LaRoche, Julie McCleney and Jimmy Ray Gillory.
Survivors include daughters, Sonja Simpson of Chandler, Cynthia Reyna and husband Ricky of Tomball; sister, Beatrice Meese of Spring; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Joyce will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Our Family Cemetery in Palestine.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
