Mrs. Marie Boyd Starr, aged 98, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. She was born December 28, 1919 in Brownsboro, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Starr; father, George W. Boyd; mother, Annie Bell Newbold Simmons; son, Darwin Perry; granddaughter, Lona Rae Perry; son-in-law, Don Bishop; and numerous siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Bobby Perry and wife of Winnfield, Louisiana; daughter, Jo Bishop of Chandler; sister, Colleen Parker of Chandler; grandchildren, BJ Perry, Missy Perry, Cheryl Bastain, Randy Perry, Kevin Perry, Stacy Perry, Teri Perry-Copponex, Joey Bishop, Rusty Perry, and Jodi Bishop Broaddrick and Christi Perry; 17 great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Evans officiating. There will be a private burial. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of the services.
