Obituary for Jimmy Reeves
A memorial visitation for Jimmy Reeves, 70, of Chandler, is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Reeves passed away November 24, 2020 in Tyler.
Jimmy Doyle Reeves was born May 18, 1950 in Pittsburg, the son of William Doyle Reeves and Fayrene (Price) Reeves. He was a disabled veteran, serving proudly in the United States Navy. Jimmy graduated from Tyler Junior College with an associate degree in law enforcement and worked for Brookshires for 26 years before retiring and becoming a security guard for Failsafe Security for over 15 years. He attended the First Baptist Church of Chandler where he remained active in teaching the Royal Ambassadors class. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing and word puzzle books. Grandpa loved spending time with his family especially his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard Reeves and Jackie Reeves.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debbie Reeves of Chandler; children, Lisa Reeves Slater of Chandler, John Reeves and wife Christa of Chandler; siblings, Jerry Reeves of Longview, Terry Reeves and wife Kathy of Lonestar, Tony Reeves and wife Leah of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Cole Bradshaw, Dallas Reeves, Raelynn Reeves and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
