I met Bud several years ago through a mutual friend named Ken Markley. We have fished together several times.
I know him as a kind and gentle man, who loves his family very much.
He has stopped by my house many times with his little dog 'Tykee', and after Tykee, it was Oscar . Where we shared many stories together about life in general.
Bud was a WW ll veteran. And I recently gave him a wooden sign I had made, that he wanted when he saw it. It read "On behalf of a grateful nation" with a folded American flag protruding from the wood. He liked it very much.
I'm going to miss him. - Lonnie Budro

I have many wonderful memories of growing up with Bud Jones as a second father to me. I know what a hard working man he was; and how important family was to him. My all time favorite memory was when us boys were playing in the hayfield and accidentally set several acres on fire. Once Bud came and helped put it out, I was sure the whole group of us were in trouble. Bud seeing us terrified, simply said “I was thinking of burning that field to see if the grass would grow better.” He was an amazing man.
