Obituary for Glenn Madison Tate

Funeral Services for Glenn Tate, 77, of Brownsboro are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Rock Hill Baptist Church in Brownsboro, Texas with Bro. Danny Bristow officiating.

Mr. Tate passed away on October 2, 2020 in the presence of his loving family.

Glenn Madison Tate was born October 13, 1942 in Houston, Texas the son of Rodrick and Eva Evans Tate. He was Honorably discharged from the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant. During his service he proudly graduated from Airborne School and OCS. Glenn earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana and spent his career in management, serving 18 years as head of purchasing at Texas Foundries and another 20 years as branch manager for Porter Warner. Poppy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and working in the yard landscaping. He loved working crossword puzzles and watching his western movies, especially John Wayne. He was a loving husband, father and Da to his beloved grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gail Welch.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Billie Tate of Brownsboro; two daughters, Kristina Lea Shade of Frisco, Texas and Mistie Lynn Fuentes and husband Gary also of Frisco; two brothers, Don Tate and wife Janet of Pineland, Texas and Winston Tate and wife Carolyn of Jasper, Texas. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Xena Fuentes, Alexander “Boy” Klaff and Isabella “Gracie” Fuentes; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Serving as pallbearers will be Alexander Klaff, Gary Fuentes, Jim Brantley, Garry Houston, Jim White, Chad Ellis and Cody Seale. Danny Hardin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., at Rock Hill Baptist Church.
