He graduated from John Tyler High School in 1946 and served in the United States Army for two years from January 1951 until December 1952 during the Korean War. Frank married Wanda Joyce Wyatt on August 28, 1953, and together they would welcome two sons, Jeffrey and Mark. He spent 38 years working for the United States Postal Service out of Tyler.
