Funeral services for Sister Flossie Moss, 97, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the First Assembly of God in Brownsboro with Rev. Terry Nesmith and Rev. Donald J. Herring officiating. Interment will follow at Echols Cemetery on Jennings Mountain under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Sister Moss passed away March 16, 2021 in Brownsboro.
Flossie Mae (Anderson) Moss was born April 19, 1923 in Bogata, Texas, the daughter of Willie Evert Anderson and Martha Jane (Dixon) Anderson. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Brownsboro where she spent many years involved in the ladies group as well as teaching Sunday School and was a powerful prayer warrior. Flossie enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, cooking, canning and studying the Bible. A homemaker to the fullest- she was gentle, loving, patient, and a Godly example to her family. She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam D. Moss; siblings, Melvin Anderson, Edward Anderson, Ida Peak, Willie Anderson, Gladys Steinhour and grandchildren, Brandon Moss, Brad Eaton and infant James Lindal Moss.
Survivors include children, James Moss and wife Sandy of Grand Prairie, Don Moss and wife Vicki of Chandler, Gloria Eaton and husband Bill of Brownsboro, Kay Nichols and husband Jimmy of Brownsboro, Lisa January of Bullard; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Eaton, Laramee Eaton, Craig Moss, Greg Davis, Kelly Tidwell and Broc January. Honorary pallbearer will be Jake Eaton.
A visitation will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2-3:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Brownsboro prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
