Obituary for Ferral "Gabby" Bonnette
Graveside services for Ferral “Gabby” Bonnette, 85, of Longview, are scheduled for 9:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Meredith Campground Cemetery in Athens under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Ms. Bonnette passed away on January 17, 2023, in Tyler.
Ferralene (Jones) Bonnette was born on November 13, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Rev. Olin Harrison Jones and LaVada (Stegall) Jones. She graduated from Simmesport High School in Louisiana and obtained her bachelor’s degree at Azusa Pacific University and her master's degree in education from Jackson State University. Ferral was a schoolteacher for more than 40 years, with 20 of those being with the Eustace Independent School District. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Tyler and enjoyed playing the piano, singing, traveling with her friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Darlene Moreau.
Survivors include her sons, Ben Bonnette and wife Noelle of Longview, Bobby Bonnette and wife Jennifer of Troup; her brother, Bob Jones of Walker, Louisiana; and her grandchildren, Hunter Bonnette, Tanner Bonnette, Zayin Bonnette, Bodey Bonnette, and Boston Bonnette.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Creation Foundation, 1204 West Noble St., Troup, Texas 75789.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
