A memorial service for Don Chancelor, 76, of Chandler, is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Scott Redd officiating.
Mr. Chancelor passed away on November 25, 2022, in Tyler.
Don C. Chancelor was born on June 4, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Godfrey Harrison Chancelor and Ruth Pauline (Channel) Wilkie. He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas and worked as a manager for Automated and Custom Foods of Dallas before retiring after 15 years of service. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, detailing his truck, watching the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys play, and he loved his family pets and food. His family will remember him as loving, compassionate, funny, a prankster, and a man of many stories, even if you have heard them a million times.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharee Chancelor; and brothers, Tommy Chancelor, Ray Chancelor, and James Chancelor.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Kim Chancelor of Chandler; mother-in-law, Bettye Wallace of Chandler; children, Wendy Chancelor of Gladewater, Jeff Chancelor and wife Janice of Arlington, Jon Norris of Arlington; siblings, Ann Mills of Dallas, Paul Chancelor and wife Diane of Grand Prairie; sister-in-law, Jean Chancelor of Quitman; grandchildren, Samantha Scott and husband Josh, David Williams and wife Nicole, Megan Williams, Brandy Branch, Brooke Todd and husband Bubba, Jeffrey Chancelor and wife Morgan, Jay D. Chancelor; and great-grandchildren, Julianna Garcia, Adriana Garcia, Bently Shefer, Jayce Todd, Brentlee Morris, Emily Chancelor, Meila Garcia, Lillianna Chancelor, Nathaniel Williams, and Jessica Chancelor.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
