Obituary for Dennis Michael "Mike" Taylor
MIKE Taylor, 77, of Bullard, passed away on November 5, 2020 in Tyler.
Dennis Michael Taylor was born June 18, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Austin Franklin Taylor and Nellie Dee Parum. Mike retired from Impressive Business Forms in Tyler and lived in the Hideaway Lake community along with his wife for over 30 years. He was a very talented singer who played many musical instruments, a member of the HAWL KAROKEE CLUB, HUSTLERS MENS GOLF GROUP.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim Taylor and Roger Taylor.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Linda Taylor of Bullard; children, Suzette Taylor-Thedford, husband Ernie of Noonday, Denny Taylor, wife Tessara of Chapel Hill, brother David Burr ,wife Mary of Kentucky; sister Judy Sherrill, husband Randy of Indiana; Four grandchildren, Ryan Taylor, wife Lindsey of Noonday, Ryan Cockrell, wife Markie of Forney, Austin Cockrell ,wife Angela of Tyler, Colton Taylor/Shelbey Griffith of Dallas and four great grandchildren Jaden Taylor, Caiden Taylor, Easton Cockrell and Alara Cockrell.
He enjoyed a very close friendship playing card games weekly with friends, Carey and Charlotte Wood and Stan and Sharon Sobotka of Oak Grove Estates. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be missed by all those he knew and loved. His favorite songs were WELCOME TO MY WORLD, HE HOLDS MY HAND, WONDER OF YOU.
Internment is pending at the Merit, Texas Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
