Obituary for Darlene Wilcox

A celebration of life for Loma Darlene Wilcox will be held Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Assembly of God in Kilgore with Rev. Roger Hoffpowier officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Loma Darlene Wilcox was born to Cleo James McDonald and Ruby Annie Conaway on February 22nd, 1925 in Blaine, Kansas at their home.

Darlene was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Glenn Wesley Wilcox, whom she was married to for 55 years. Darlene was also preceded by her 4 brothers, Norman McDonald, Homer McDonald, Dean McDonald, Ray McDonald and her only sister, Twila McDonald Thompson.

Darlene leaves behind her 4 children; Mike Wilcox, Glenda Ott, Darla Thomison and Susan Travis, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Darlene was a loving wife, mother and grandma to her family. She was also a faithful co-laborer in her husband's various ministries as evangelist, pastor and prison ministries. Darlene was the "wind beneath her husband's wings!" She retired from the federal government after 17 years. Darlene was a good friend to all who knew her. She will be missed by all.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Thomison, Justin Thomison, Christopher Thomison, Cutter Thomison, Cody Wilcox and Clint Trewin.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
