Obituary for Christine Alene Herrick (Smith)
Services for Christine Alene Smith-Herrick, 63, of Mansfield, will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Martha Elkins officiation. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Christine died on February 2, 2019 in Mansfield. She was born July 20, 1955 in Fort Worth to the late James Thomas and Ruby Alene Brewer Smith.
Christine was a member of the Church in One Accord in Arlington. She went to school in California to become an esthetician and cosmetologist.
Christine is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lesleigh Ann West, who were waiting on her with Jesus.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, James Herrick of Mansfield; sons, Jay Violet and Kyle Heath Violet of Tyler; siblings, John Thomas Crumpler of Whitehouse, Theresa Smith Moore and husband Jim of Jacksonville, Jason Smith and wife Pam of Chandler, Dolores Geller of Granbury and Jimmy Smith of Glen Rose; nieces, Misty and Melissa Hollowell, also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and her dogs Weechee and Knesha.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 10:00 to 11:00 am at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
