Funeral Services for Rita Ward, 92, of Mount Pleasant are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Ron Ward officiating. A private burial will follow at Concord Cemetery.

Mrs. Ward passed away on August 7, 2019 in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Chlorita Elizabeth Ward was born February 11, 1927 in Denton, Texas the daughter of Claude B. Shoulders and Elizabeth Loveday Shoulders. She lived in Chandler with her husband until his passing in 2007, then moved to Grand Prairie to live with her son and his family and later to Mount Pleasant. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Eugene Ward.

Rita is survived by one son, Ron Ward and wife Georgia of Pittsburg; one grandson, Matthew Ward and wife Elise of Crowley and one great granddaughter, Sarai Ward.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
