A visitation for Catherine “Cat” Wilcox, 66, of Brownsboro, will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 3-4:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow immediately at 4:00 p.m. A family service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. John of Damascus Orthodox Church in Tyler with Father David Bozeman officiating. Interment will follow at St. John of Damascus Orthodox Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilcox passed away September 19, 2021 in Tyler.
Catherine Sue (West) Wilcox was born December 30, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the daughter of Isaac Hugh West, Jr. and Margaret Jane (Land) West. She was a member of St. John of Damascus Orthodox Church, loved studying the word and could always be found sitting on the front row in the various Bible Studies that she attended in the area. She had a heart for the lost, a passion for helping those in need, spent many hours reaching out to help the homeless and volunteering in area schools. Nana was a dedicated homemaker who loved attending all of the grandchildren’s activities that they participated in and also enjoyed scrapbooking in her free time. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include husband, L.D. Wilcox of Brownsboro; children, Candace Harmon and husband Jeffrey of Tyler, Krista Barker of Brownsboro, Michael Wilcox and wife Heather of Murchison; siblings, Mary Sessions of Chandler, Ann Richards and husband Thomas of Wasilla, Alaska, Jimmy West and wife Karen of Murchison, Paula Fullingim and husband Jim of Athens; grandchildren, Colton Harmon, Blake Harmon, Brooke Barker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
