Obituary for Billy Don Van Voast II

Funeral arrangements for Billy Van Voast, II, 45, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Leagueville Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Logan and Bro. MacJohn Bagley officiating. Interment will follow in Leagueville Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Van Voast passed away December 20, 2020 in Athens.

Billy Don Van Voast, II was born November 2, 1975 in Dallas, the son of Billy Don Van Voast I and Nancy (Stephenson) Van Voast. He accepted Christ and was later baptized on May 1, 1983 and currently a member of Leagueville Baptist Church. Billy was the Director of Project Management and Construction for Red Dot in Athens. His world revolved around his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Parker Runnels; paternal grandparents, Sonny Van Voast and Sharon Van Voast and maternal grandfather, James Stephenson.

Survivors include parents, Billy and Nancy Van Voast of Brownsboro; wife, Christi Van Voast of Brownsboro; maternal grandmother, Doris Stephenson; children, Kaylee Van Voast of College Station, Jacob Van Voast of Garland, Kaitlyn Van Voast of Garland, Presley Cook of Whitehouse, Tyler Buck of Tyler, Tabitha Youkey and husband Justin of Brownsboro; sister, Kimberly Riehm and husband Jay of Forney; grandchildren, Wyatt Runnels, Reed Youkey, Kinsley Youkey and two on the way; nephew, Joshua Riehm; niece, Hannah Riehm as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jarett Stephenson, Payton Stephenson, Kaleb Stephenson, Lance Owen, Danny Parker and Tony Sellers. Honorary pallbearer will be Dusty Mettetal.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital in Dallas.
