Barbara passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in The Woodlands, Texas with her family by her side. She was born on February 16, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee to Paul and Helen Harrison.
Barbara lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and manager in the textile sector. She was a dedicated mama first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She adored her role as Nana. Her grand and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, loved to sew and care for her flower and vegetable gardens.
Our mama was the strongest woman you ever had the pleasure to meet. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her feel special. She wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She was genuine to a fault, gentle at heart and yet she sugar coated nothing. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cotton Johnson; sisters Brenda House, Donna Ybarra; brothers Jerry Harrison and James Harrison
Survivors include daughters Lil Loosier of Ashdown, AR and Jean Woolverton and husband Billy of Montgomery; Son David Johnson and wife Terri of Canton; sisters Sandra McCoy and husband David of Chandler, Gloria Hicks of Grapevine and Becky Saunders of Magnolia, AR; brother Lee Harrison and wife Sheila Harrison of Chandler; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Dusty Loosier, Jacob Loosier, Bradly Woolverton, Austin Woodcock. Brigan Johnson, Blake Johnson. Honorary pallbearer: Ryder Cannaday and Brock Johnson.
The family has set up visitation on May 16, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
