Funeral services for Annie Jean McPherson, 84, of Brownsboro, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2022, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. William Compton officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. McPherson passed away on November 2, 2022, in Tyler.
Annie Jean (Lackey) McPherson was born on June 23, 1938, in Brownsboro, Texas, the daughter of Ralph Wendell Lackey and Laura Mae (Simmons) Lackey. She attended the First Assembly of God in Brownsboro and spent a lifetime as a devoted caretaker to many. Annie Jean was a talented seamstress, especially in quilting and embroidery. She will be remembered as a caring, selfless woman who will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Laura Lackey, and twin brother, Billy Dean Lackey.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, David McPherson of Brownsboro; children, Steven McPherson of Frisco, George McPherson of Log Cabin, Mark Morgan of Brownsboro; siblings, Margaret Compton and husband William of Brownsboro, Buddy Lackey and wife Lillie of Chandler, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Bryce Lackey, Ricky Lackey, Isaac Ridgle, Eli Ridgle, Zay Ridgle, Logan Compton, Landon Compton, and Lance Compton will serve as pallbearers.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, from 1-2:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home prior to the service.
