Funeral services for Alex Ballesteros, 28, of Tyler, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Criner officiating.
Alex passed away on February 3, 2022, in Tyler.
Alex Ignacio Ballesteros was born July 2, 1993 in Tyler, the son of Juan Ignacio Ballesteros and Belinda Dale (Barfield) Southern. He worked as a diesel mechanic and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything in the outdoors. Alex was fearless, an overcomer, family-oriented, and fun to be around. His remarkable legacy as a fiancé, son, brother, father, and friend to many will live on in the lives of those he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mario and Bertha Ballesteros, and by maternal grandparents, William “Bill” Barfield and Marlene Jackson.
Survivors include fiancé, Cheyenne Sky Donovan of Tyler; father, Juan Ballesteros of Tyler; mother, Belinda Southern and David Kemp of Ben Wheeler; children, Zoey Herrin of Brownsboro, Sadie Ballesteros of Tyler; siblings, Mario Ballesteros and wife Melina, Damon Barnes and fiancé Emily Mazy, Brittny Ballesteros, Destiny Ballesteros, Juanito Ballesteros, Abigail Ballesteros, Gabriel Ballesteros, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 2-3:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home prior to the service.
